Balance Regatta 2026
Our annual Balance Regatta returned this year with another fantastic day on the water, bringing together clients, industry peers and friends for a memorable day of sailing along the Solent.
The day began at Lymington Yacht Haven, where guests arrived for breakfast, coffee and chance to catch up before heading out onto the water. Following a short briefing and team allocations, crews boarded their yachts ready for a competitive sail across to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.
Conditions throughout the day certainly kept everyone on their toes. While there were spells of sunshine and calm waters, we also had a few bursts of hail along the way, adding a little extra level of excitement!
After a lively morning of sailing, the fleet arrived at Yarmouth where everyone gathered for lunch at The Bugle. The stop provided a welcome opportunity for the whole group to come together, share stories from the morning and enjoy some excellent food in the sunshine.
Following lunch, the teams set sail once more for the return journey back to Lymington. On arrival, guests enjoyed some drinks on the marina decking where stories were shared and tactical decisions were thoroughly debated!
The evening concluded with a prize giving dinner, kindly sponsored by Carta. The winning boat was announced, and guests enjoyed food, drinks and great conversations to round off another successful Balance Regatta. One of the standout moments of the evening came when Treave launched a highly optimistic, but unsuccessful, attempt to upgrade his boat’s standing from second to first. Celebrations began early as he made his way enthusiastically through the crowd to collect the trophy. Despite his efforts, the trophy remained with the rightful owners.
